This may have something to do with the fact that Qt has depended on Mesa since
time immemorial, despite the fact that the qtgl libraries aren't even built.
I've been meaning to submit a patch to build these for a while (one or two
things I've been meaning to port do use them).

Are any of the KDE stuff linked against the Mesa libs, or is it truly a
redundant dependency?
