FreeBSD unknown 6.2-RELEASE FreeBSD 6.2-RELEASE #1: Tue Jan 23 11:46:27 EST 2007 root@unknown:/usr/src/sys/i386/compile/CUSTOM i386
>Description:
Please consider adding "device carp" to the GENERIC kernel. We have many servers using carp and it increases the complexity of installs and (binary) upgrades when you have to build a custom kernel only for this functionality. The kernel size increase is small and the benefits are (IMHO) worthwhile.
>How-To-Repeat:
device carp is not in the GENERIC kernel and it is very difficult to make a module to add this support via kld
>Fix:
Please consider adding "device carp" to the GENERIC kernel.
