The problem is that the ftp.maske.org ftp server returns an empty response to "LIST mod_auth_mysql41_ap2_1.00.tar.gz". To save bandwidth, the distfile checker doesn't actually download any files; it just tries the equivalent of an "ls" command on each file (or an HTTP "HEAD" for http: or https: URLs). If this is a policy of ftp.maske.org, I can create a "blacklist" of sites for which I know this algorithm doesn't work. Bill
