in the 2.2 tree as of yesterday,

the makefiles have been modified to use gtags
but the Makefile in usr.bin doesn't include global
from which gtags is derived.
also if you DO make global (by hand), then vi doesn't seem to be
able to use the resulting output.
why do we need to learn a new thing?
what happened to the "principle of least amazement?"

If there is a way to make this new animal work correctly
with  vi -t  I'd like the secret.
