[-- Attachment #1 --] I was wondering if someone could propose a project for a basic multimedia API for FreeBSD. I mean, we do not have any standard interface to access camera devices. Neither, for other "video capture" devices. As a matter of fact, aside from OSS sound system, we do not have a standard API. We have to directly communicate with whatever a particular device provides. I am not proposing V4Linux but some sort of common API abstraction. I do not have the necessary skills to mentor such a project so I am looking for volunteers for the task.
