Hi John,
In my case I had to create a script for ping test and if ping not
respond then to do a down and up in interface.
#!/bin/sh
while true ; do
if ! ping -n -c 1 186.xxx.48.2; then
if ! ping -n -c 1 186.xxx.61.2; then
if ! ping -n -c 1 186.xxx.54.2; then
if ! ping -n -c 1 177.xxx.240.253; then
/sbin/ifconfig ix0 down
/sbin/ifconfig ix0 up
echo "`date`" >> /root/ix.log
echo "`netstat -in|grep ix0|grep 1500`" >> /root/ix.log
fi
fi
fi
fi
sleep 10
done
