Zitat von Chris Brotherton <chris@evilelement.net>: > SCSI controller you will not be able to boot from it, but I have heard > it is possible to boot from an IDE drive and use the SCSI drives as storage. That's exactly what I do on my PWS 500a with adaptec controller. I stuffed an 1GB IDE drive in it too boot off (/, /var & /tmp are on this disk) and everything else is on a 4GB and a 9GB SCSI disks. FreeBSD identifies the adaptec controller at boot - you just need something to boot off from. ------------------------------------------------- This mail sent through IMP: http://horde.org/imp/ To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-alpha" in the body of the message
