Here is the uname -a, I plan to upgrade to a 2.2.5-Beta >next week. FreeBSD 2.2-970901-RELENG. In case anyone cares (and judging by the complete lack of response, I have to wonder :) I upgraded to a 10/12 2.2.5-Beta, compiled ssh 1.2.21 and Bash 2.01 from the ports, and the problem disappeared. I really don't know if it was an ssh or a bash problem since I didn't test them seperately.
