Hi all, I'm having problems with this drive and FreeBSD-2.2.5, connected to an Adaptec 1505 PNP SCSI card. The (relevant) dmesg output is as follows: ... Aug 26 20:58:16 bsd /kernel: CSN 2 Vendor ID: ADP1505 [0x05159004] Serial 0x0db37f3c Aug 26 20:58:16 bsd /kernel: PnP: override config for CSN 2 LDN 0 vend_id 0x05159004 Aug 26 20:58:16 bsd /kernel: Probing for devices on the ISA bus: ... Note that the drive is not empty as reported. When I try to access the drive, I get the following on the console. Aug 26 21:09:52 bsd /kernel: st0(aic0:2:0): timed out Aug 26 21:11:32 bsd /kernel: st0(aic0:2:0): timed out Aug 26 21:13:12 bsd /kernel: st0(aic0:2:0): timed out I have checked termination etc. and this all looks OK. The tape drive is the only device on the scsi bus. Any thoughts on this would be great.
