Actually "tech. support" is the freebsd-questions mailing list.
You might wish to subscribe to it and to freebsd-newbies, a mailing list
for the "moral support" of new users without Unix experience. You
can subscribe to them at the website, www.freebsd.org.

Two things:
*) When downloading the floppy image, be certain to use "binary"
mode.
*) Don't use DOS COPY or whatever windoze uses to put the image on
disk. Instead download (also "binary") the fdimage.exe program in the
tools directory.

Before installing read the installation part of the handbook, available
at www.freebsd.org.

If you wait a day or two, 2.2.7 will be the brand-new release.
