Hi, I use an Alcatel Speed Touch Ethernet modem for my ADSL connection. But after few hours (between 4 and 12 hours), it disconnects. In facts, it seems that the computer loses the link with the modem : the leds of the network card indicates that there is nothing. PPP is ran in ddial mode, but doesn't try to redial. I must stop PPP, turn off the modem, turn it back on and redial. To configure PPP, i used the ppp.conf from the FreeBSD handbook. Does anyone have a solution ? Thanks Jean-Sebastien PS: Sorry for my english :) To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-newbies" in the body of the message
