Just for the record, the following errors:

were generated 'cos /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/XKeysymDB got trashed on my
box. I fixed it by copying it over from another system. The longer fix
is a "portupgrade -f XFree86-libraries" (which reinstalls a good copy).
