I've never run PAO, but *I* usually upgrade by updating all of the sources on my box to the most recent versions, do a 'make world' to install all of the newest binaries, build and install a new kernel (after building the world), then reboot. Then, I make a backup copy of /etc (cp -rP /etc /etc-save), go through all the files in /etc and update them with the changes from /usr/src/etc, reboot again and pray that it works. Most of the time it does, but sometimes I have to tweak things. :) Nate
