Hi
I'm running 4.5-PRERELEASE.
When I stop tcpdump it hangs network interface.
hermes# tcpdump host x.x.x.x
tcpdump: listening on pcn0
11:24:40.644664 y.y.y.y > x.x.x.x: icmp: echo request
11:24:40.651675 x.x.x.x > y.y.y.y: icmp: echo reply (DF)
11:24:41.660268 y.y.y.y > x.x.x.x: icmp: echo request
11:24:41.666985 x.x.x.x > y.y.y.y: icmp: echo reply (DF)
^C
187 packets received by filter
0 packets dropped by kernel
hermes#
After that network interface hangs and can be started only by
ifconfig pcn0 down
ifconfig pcn0 up
Im using FreeBSD 4.5-PRERELEASE (HERMES) #1: Sat Jan 12 00:15:50 MSK 2002
on IBM xSeries 340. Ethernet card - AMD PCnet/PCI 10/100BaseTX
Does anyone knows what's wrong?
With respect,
Pavel A Crasotin
