The time to take a poll would have been before these changes were put in. Now that they have been commited stick by your improvements. Is there no way to backout/patch these changes or "freeze/snapshot" for those user's who must remain backward compatible? That being said, if these changes will cause anyone undue hardship AND they aren't coming in again real soon back them out. But please please please provide us with a clear consise document to help us roll our systems back.
