This does not work. It appears (from the bugreports I read) that win98-mode is virtually impossible as soon as an app requires systemheap. Furthermore, some applications (including IE and dependencies) won't work in win2k or winxp mode too. This is FreeBSD specific. This means that for a lot of uses, wine is virutally useless on FreeBSD now (I think, but haven't tried, that this prevents Office from working too). See: http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=5732 And: http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=73092 (last two comments) Some more output: err:heap:HEAP_GetPtr Invalid heap 0x0! (multiples) Is there anything I can do? Should there some bugreport be filed or whatever? I would be glad to help this get fixed, but my C++-skills are below zero. -- Frans-Jan v.
