According to the first stages of your buildworld output, You are trying to upgrade from FreeBSD-4.x. This problem is known and described in the "Problem Report bin/53201" See http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=bin%2F53201 P.S. There are no problems to upgrade from FreeBSD-4.x to 5.1-CURRENT.
