Hi, I am building a custom kernel with FreeBSD 5.2... I need to disable ACPI (otherwise the system fails to recognize the disk!!) ... so is it fine if I just do a make and then a make install of the new kernel and then add hint.acpi.0.disabled to /boot/loader.conf ? or is anything to be done before doin a make and a make install? any help will be appreciated.
