But you're the first person to ever report doing this to himself. :-) This doesn't change the fundamental point that having any makefiles depend on this link is bad design. It's part of that question I think we need to keep asking ourselves... do we want to continue making FreeBSD easier for people to use, or do we want to preserve antiquated, customary structures because they're not "broken" for the clueful? It's a fine line in places, however I think this is a pretty clear-cut case. Of course, I know Jordan is aware of this, I just don't want the importance of something like this to be overlooked.
