  Yes, I use FreeTDS.  But it is very finicky.  It is a work in progress.

  Someone from Sybase came on the FreeTDS list announced that the driver
would be open-sourced!  But it fizzeled out.  So the
slow reverse-engineering and guesswork development process of FreeTDS
continues on.
