Seems to me for this to work ld-elf32.so > would have to somehow first check /usr/local/lib32. I don't own a 64bit machine, but have you already played with =20 ldconfig32_paths in rc.conf? It may be the case that libtool hardcodes some paths somehow (either =20 directly in the binary or via the .lo's)...
