All unix applications are by definition 'suspendable' due to job control on unix, so suspending them should pose no problems to the applications unless they need to provide some sort of real time input. If they do, then you need to somehow get notified that the system is being suspended (which FreeBSD currently doesn't do) and very quickly let your subscribers know that something is happening. Nate
