Hello All,

I tried 5.2 Beta on this, and it installed fine (with acpi disabled), with
the exception of the network card. The really good news was the 8 processors
detected during installation and the machine booted up with an SMP kernel
with all eight enabled. Congratulations to the FreeBSD SMP team for that!

The network card was a problem. It is a NC3131 which I can see is not
supported by FreeBSD. This is not a major problem as I will simply buy a
supported NIC.

I can't provide any more useful feedback yet (if it is wanted) as I can't get
onto the machine except from console.

Cheers,
John.
