The main problem I've found is backspace in an xterm. The console
works fine, but xterm has a mind of it's own when it inits the
pty modes. It sets erase to ^? unless you manually override with...
XTerm*ttyModes:erase ^H
...in your X resource file (whatever you choose to call it).
