PROJECTS
* Implemented a real-time controller for water
see-saw.
* Designed and implemented a mobile computing
simulator which simulates the communication algorithms
for mobile hosts.
* Designed and implemented many operating system
algorithms such as thread scheduling and
synchronization, supervisor system calls, virtual
memory, file system, scheduler, threads, networking,
and remote system calls, using C++. (Jan. 1998--May
1998. and Sept. 1999--Dec. 1999 as a teaching
assistant)
* Implemented a reliable link protocol and a
routing protocol with multicast support in a group of
two. Worked as the leader and designer.
* Designed and implemented individually a
brand-new web search engine with neural networks.
The project applied a modified version of Hopfield
neural network that can store a large amount of
patterns in small amount of memory space and retrieve
with very high accuracy.
* Designed and implemented a web-based multimedia
database system with a team of four. Worked as leader
and primary designer in the team.
* Implemented a distributed multimedia authoring
and presentation system that can record multimedia
information, store it in a server, and then download
the information and present it at a client.
* Pattern Recognition: Implement various
algorithms such as k-means, SOM, etc. with Java,
C/C++, and Perl to classify financial data into
different clusters and find out the relations among
different vector spaces automatically.
