It looks like the program doesn't think the input is actually a
PostScript file.  Try another file: e.g., 
 ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/articles/5-roadmap/article.ps.bz2
works for me.
