Spend just a little bit more than the $60.00 (more like $72.00) and get your
self an NCR 53C810 based controller _with_ active termination.  The real
low cost ones are using passive termination which is not such a grand idea
if you plan to run fast SCSI-II devices.

Other than that I pretty much agree with the replies you have seen so far.
