I don't actually use it yet because I had to plug the mainboard into
my server in an emergeny act where I just transferred all the PCI
cards but ifconfig suggests so:

em0: flags=8802<BROADCAST,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> mtu 1500
        options=3<rxcsum,txcsum>
        ether 00:0e:a6:4d:ac:de
        media: Ethernet autoselect
        status: no carrier

That's the onboard chip on said mainboard.
