hi, this message is in reference to: http://www.freebsd.org/handbook/handbook207.html#445 "working as a ppp server" i implemented the scripts as suggested in the page and the modem still refuses to answer. it will answer if i remove the exit command from /etc/ppp/kermit.ans but then pppserv can't start pppd. i've noticed that it answers fine as long as kermit is running. once you exit kermit, the modem won't answer. i am running freebsd 2.2.6 with kermit 6.0.192. any help or thoughts you could provide would be excellent. thanks, james To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-doc" in the body of the message
