Hi, I was able to install 16.04 server from the official ISO in bhyve on both a 10.1-RELEASE and CURRENT host without issues. > I select the first one and get this error: > > error: invalid magic number. > error: you need to load the kernel first. That looks like grub wasn't able to find the linux kernel. A simple check would be hit 'c' at the grub menu and then have a look around the filesystem from the grub prompt to see if the vmlinuz file is present. later, Peter.
