I've got the exact same error.
FreeBSD
7.2-STABLE, AMD64, Diablo-jdk-1.6.0 (Package)
Used a fresh cvsup of the port patched
with the original eclipse35.diff with gpatch.

I'll try the
eclipse35_1.diff tonight and send the build output.
