Garance A Drosihn once stated: => Wiped out or not, it will still count as yet another NT computer => in the world. Try to make sure they do NOT give you NT license. => They'll probably refuse to give you a discount for that, though... [...] =On the other hand, it does strike me that it might be a good idea to =happen to mention FreeBSD while you're ordering a box. If they get a =few dozen calls where people say "Wow, this will be a great box for =running FreeBSD", that might cause Insight to think FreeBSD is an =interesting thing. (I imagine anything that helps to sell equipment =would be interesting to them... :-) Exactly my point. Your message does not say "stupid", so I'll elaborate. Just mention it. They do not have to actually remove NT. And Mike was right, the license was already allocated. But it will raise the point "Khmmm... Not all of our customers want NT"... May be we should try to sell OS-less machines too? Or pre-loaded with some other OS? It will not happen overnight, of course, but there has to be some feedback to the manufacturer/merchant... -mi To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-current" in the body of the message
