I've had similar problems in 4.4-RC after suspend.  The card isn't
found.  If I eject it, I don't get any message.  On reinsertion, I get
a message that the card has been removed, followed by a normal
recognition.  Strangely, I can't find a single instance of this in the
log files.

This is a Thinkpad T22.  The cards I used are either Orinoco or IBN,
which I'm pretty sure is a rebadged Orinoco.
