5 months ago, a change was made to "Allow users to specify a command to use as remote command instead of using rcmd directly", see http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/cvsweb.cgi/src/lib/libc/net/rcmd.c The comment says this should have been MFC'd after 2 months but it wasn't.
