I just did a new unstall of FreeBDS 5.3 RELEASE for AMD64 on a dual Opteron 4 GB DRAM Tyan S2885. Unlike other entries here, this new install was not done with the RAID 3ware driver. Nor were the symptoms alike. The install went along fine till when the x86congfig was supposed to become available and be run during install. There were no such commands available. X does not properly start. Please assist. Jerry /var/log/kdm.log: ******************************************************************************** Note that your system uses syslog.
