Thanks.  The reason I did not find it is that the Stable code was updated
in May, 1998.  My vm_machdep.c was downloaded earlier than that time.

I also guess that the hyperlinked source code tree at
http://minnie.cs.adfa.oz.au/FreeBSD-srctree/FreeBSD.html

should be updated.  It can not find a normal C routine like swi_vm().
