Dear friends, Problem is this: Every time I try to make buildworld after following the freebsd handbook guidelines EXACTLY I run into the same error. I have tried on three different machines. i.e. different hardware & different releases. ERROR: building standard ipsec library ranlib libipsec.a cc -fpic -DPIC -O -pipe -I/usr/obj/usr/src/lib/libipsec -DIPSEC_DEBUG -DIPSEC -DINET6 -I/usr/obj/usr/src/i386/usr/include -c /usr/src/lib/libipsec/pfkey.c -o pfkey.So cc -fpic -DPIC -O -pipe -I/usr/obj/usr/src/lib/libipsec -DIPSEC_DEBUG -DIPSEC -DINET6 -I/usr/obj/usr/src/i386/usr/include -c /usr/src/lib/libipsec/pfkey_dump.c -o pfkey_dump.So cc -fpic -DPIC -O -pipe -I/usr/obj/usr/src/lib/libipsec -DIPSEC_DEBUG -DIPSEC -DINET6 -I/usr/obj/usr/src/i386/usr/include -c /usr/src/lib/libipsec/ipsec_strerror.c -o ipsec_strerror.So cc -fpic -DPIC -O -pipe -I/usr/obj/usr/src/lib/libipsec -DIPSEC_DEBUG -DIPSEC -DINET6 -I/usr/obj/usr/src/i386/usr/include -c policy_parse.c -o policy_parse.So cc -fpic -DPIC -O -pipe -I/usr/obj/usr/src/lib/libipsec -DIPSEC_DEBUG -DIPSEC -DINET6 -I/usr/obj/usr/src/i386/usr/include -c policy_token.c -o policy_token.So cc -fpic -DPIC -O -pipe -I/usr/obj/usr/src/lib/libipsec -DIPSEC_DEBUG -DIPSEC -DINET6 -I/usr/obj/usr/src/i386/usr/include -c /usr/src/lib/libipsec/ipsec_dump_policy.c -o ipsec_dump_policy.So cc -fpic -DPIC -O -pipe -I/usr/obj/usr/src/lib/libipsec -DIPSEC_DEBUG -DIPSEC -DINET6 -I/usr/obj/usr/src/i386/usr/include -c /usr/src/lib/libipsec/ipsec_get_policylen.c -o ipsec_get_policylen.So cc -fpic -DPIC -O -pipe -I/usr/obj/usr/src/lib/libipsec -DIPSEC_DEBUG -DIPSEC -DINET6 -I/usr/obj/usr/src/i386/usr/include -c /usr/src/lib/libipsec/../../sys/netkey/key_debug.c -o key_debug.So make: don't know how to make /usr/obj/usr/src/i386/usr/lib/libl.a.
