I know that for at least a little while, the rtc driver was left behind by KSE and devfs. I had a locally updated copy, but I seem to have lost it. I seem to recall that there was some confusion about calling the make_dev() from the device attach, so it never appeared in devfs... Unfortunately, -CURRENT moves a bit faster than something like that does unless it's actively maintained in the tree.
