basicly, it's what I described in another mail that didn't go to
-stable:

checkout -stable sources on a 2.2.x machine (with x >= 5 for now [to
reply your other mail at the same time]) and do a buildworld. It will
probably fail early. When you see a failure, identify it. If we have a
fix, restart the build and watch it fail or complete. It might be a
time-consuming task...

If my backlog has been reduced, I'll probably try it under vmware
myself.
