If you follow the handbook instructions for sound setup @

you should do OK. The pcm driver has a knack for supporting all sorts of
AC'97 devices, even ones unlisted as officially supported. If that fails,
post the dmesg from boot when the pcm module tries to load.

As for the modem, good luck. Last I checked that's a pure winmodem, no
hardware, just a codec and a driver. I've seen some reports about people
getting the HSP56 MR working in linux, but nothing as of yet for FreeBSD.
