hi!

The observation in the post about it being ACPI is also very valid.

Can you share more specific details about the hardware in the laptop? It
looks like I can pick one up cheap on ebay,
and if it's an ACPI problem i'm likely going to need to add printf
debugging everywhere to give the ACPI maintainer
some more information. ;-)
