question

i cant get freebsd to work with DHCP, the only way i can get it online is to set it to a static IP

i will go into /stand/sysinstall, and select my NIC, it asks to search for DHCP servers i say yes, then a bunch of kernal lines come up

then i do a control-C, it then goes into the NIC config screen, everything is filled out correctly, it finds the server, then it has my comp name, then my complete online address, then my DNS servers and gateway info, it pulls up my default subnet mask, then i say ok, then it asks to bring it up, i select yes,

then i cant browse or ping any site, i reboot

still not online (no pinging any sites work nor browsing),

but if i set it to static everything is ok, (I DONT HAVE A STATIC IP, IT IS A LEASED IP FOR 1 WEEK)

how do i fix this
