No - if he had no luck on -questions, he should go to -stable or
-current depending on the version of FreeBSD he's trying to run.

-hackers is for discussing FreeBSD code internals. To quote the
charter, "It is for individuals actively working on FreeBSD, to bring
up problems or discuss alternative solutions."
