Hiya, Trying to install FreeBSD on one of the older dual cpu pentium pro machines we have and it always seem to freeze up around when it's supposed to wait 15 seconds for the scsi devices to settle. Tried to boot both 4.5 and 4.6.2 release cd's boot no luck. Linux boots and shows the scsi subsystem being: SCSI subsystem driver Revision: 1.00 scsi0 : Adaptec AIC7XXX EISA/VLB/PCI SCSI HBA DRIVER, Rev 6.1.13 <Adaptec aic7880 Ultra SCSI adapter> aic7880: Ultra Wide Channel A, SCSI Id=7, 16/255 SCBs Vendor: COMPAQPC Model: DORS-32160 Rev: WA8B Type: Direct-Access ANSI SCSI revision: 02 (scsi0:A:0): 20.000MB/s transfers (20.000MHz, offset 15) Vendor: QUANTUM Model: FIREBALL SE8.4S Rev: PJ0A Type: Direct-Access ANSI SCSI revision: 02 (scsi0:A:1): 20.000MB/s transfers (20.000MHz, offset 15) Vendor: QUANTUM Model: FIREBALL_TM3200S Rev: 300X Type: Direct-Access ANSI SCSI revision: 02 (scsi0:A:2): 20.000MB/s transfers (20.000MHz, offset 15) Vendor: IBM Model: CDRM00203 !K Rev: 8B08 Type: CD-ROM ANSI SCSI revision: 02 (scsi0:A:6): 10.000MB/s transfers (10.000MHz, offset 15) scsi0:0:0:0: Tagged Queuing enabled.
