Hello in my beginning days of bsd and linux etc there were many documentations indicating that the root slice of FreeBSD cannot be beyond the 1024th cylinder. I was wondering if in today's now commonplace world of 20 and 80 GB drives if this still holds true. Take for example if I have a nice lil IBM or Seagate 40GB drive and I take the first half for Win98 and I Install FreeBSD on the second 20GB partition, what will be the consequences?
