Hello,
Just completed a buildworld/buildkernel on the 5.2 branch and tried
building the gnome2 port. Some libraries had been updated and caused
failures (e.g. lib***.so.4 was requested but lib***.so.5 was
available). So, created a symbolic link from the *.so.4 to the *.so.5.
Then this BIG snag hit -- I need a later version of the library then
provided in the latest source releases! Please see attached files and
advise.
1) gnome2.txt -- the output of the make install on /usr/ports/x11/gnome2
2) gnomeapplets.txt -- the config.log file in
../gnomeapplets2/work/gnome-applets-2.6.1/
3) vardbpkg.txt -- the list of installed ports/packages on my system.
