This is a long shot, but you might try getting FBSD to assign those devices resources. There are some undocumented kernel options in the LINT file you might try on your next recompile. Most notibly, I'd go for: options PNPBIOS I'd been thinking about trying that when last I had this problem, but since the BIOS setting fixed it I never got arround to verifying it. Give it a try and let me know.
