Have you compiled the support for this NIC into your kernel? If not, you
may want to start
here-->http://www.freebsd.org/handbook/kernelconfig-building.html

Cheers

Joe

I have fbsd 4.0 and tried to install it on my machine with a 3Com c509 NIC.
However, when I do a dmesg, fbsd says that the eprom is not read or not
responding on the device ep0. The card works fine under linux and under
fbsd
3.1. I have turned off plug-and-play on the NIC

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Jason La
