No, the FreeBSD ktrace records the FreeBSD (emulated) syscalls (we don't run on linux, we run translated syscalls on FreeBSD), so we need the FreeBSD kdump to read the FreeBSD ktrace output. FreeBSD ldd could work... some @FreeBSD posted some (small) patches somewhere which makes this work (or was it some other similar tool? ... argh, I lost the overview somewhere in the last month). I don't know if they are committed or not and if they are schedulled to get committed or not. Linux ldd has to work.
