Multimedia list, Hello, I run 3.0-CURRENT (as of last week) and I've just today switched from VOXWARE to Luigi's pcm driver. It runs great and all, I did all the symlinking of the audio devices and all that (I've run the driver before), but now, whenever I use the "splay" program to play anything (at least an mp3 or a wav file), it generates a FIOASYNC kernel message. Also, I just set up the Netscape AOL Instand Messager Java program for XFree86, and whenever it plays a sound (I believe they're .au files), it generates 36 FIOASYNC messages (yes, I counted them) and then a "timeout flushing dbuf_out.chan, cnt 0xdc flags 0x00000641" message. None of these problems cause any noticealbe harm, but I get a bit alarmed with this many kernel error messages of which I know nothing about. I've already searched the mail archives and couldn't find anything that told me what to do about it. I can cat an .au file to /dev/audio with no problems, and other programs that use sound work fine (amp, Sajber Jukebox, etc.) I have a SB32 PnP (and yes, I do have the pnp0 controller in my kernel). If anyone would like a /dev/sndstat or a kernel config file, I'd be happy to supply it, but this message is already too long, and I don't want to clog up the mailing list an further.
